United Kingdom  – Duration 39 weeks

6 weeks @ 90% average weekly earnings then 33 weeks @ 90% of average earnings or £138.18 per week whichever is lower.

France Duration 16 weeks

100% pay, paid by state. Fathers allowed 2.5 weeks on full pay

Germany – Duration 14 weeks

14 weeks (100%) 6 before birth, 12/14 months (65%

Norway Duration 47 or 57 weeks

47 weeks @ 100% pay or 57 weeks @ 80% pay

Finland Duration 39 weeks

6 weeks @ 90% wages then 33 weeks @ 90% of average earnings or state set figure whichever the lower.

USA – Duration 12 weeks

12 weeks unpaid leave. If insured can claim 6 to 8 weeks 60% of salary

Brazil – Duration 120 – 180 days

120 – 180 days 100%, salary partially tax-deductible for employers

New Zealand – Duration 14 weeks

14 weeks paid leave at government set amount.

Cameroon14 weeks

14 weeks 100%

Iran – 6 months

6 months 100%

Uruguay – 12 weeks

12 weeks 100%
